Job description

We are a family owned and operated, center pivot irrigated row crop and custom harvesting business. We primarily grow and harvest corn and wheat for forage. We run late model equipment, consisting mainly of Claas forage harvesters, MacDon swathers, Case , and John Deere Tractors. Job duties may include and are not limited to tasks such as: attach/detach implements; clean work areas; load and unload materials and commodities; maintain grounds and landscaping; maintain inventory; operate self propelled machinery; repair and maintain farm vehicles, implements, and mechanical equipment; repair farm buildings, fences, and other structures; set up repair, maintain, and operate specialized equipment; tilling soil, transplanting, weeding, thinning, pruning crops; use hand tools such as wrenches, crow bars, air tools, electric tools; work in extreme temperatures. Equipment such as but not limited to the following will be used/operated by the workers in conjunction with the duties being performed: combines or other harvesting equipment, GPS guidance systems, forklift, irrigation equipment, pickups, cars, etc, self-propelled machinery, silage choppers, swathers, bailers, and other hay equipment, tractors. The workers will be performing the duties to help produce: corn, grain sorghum, silage, wheat. Knowledge of the silage harvesting business is preferred, specifically knowing how to operate a Claas 990 forage harvester. However, we are willing to teach the right candidate. Must speak and understand English.

Special Requirements

Three (3) months recent and verifiable experience required for the job duties listed. Must be able to obtain appropriate drivers license following hire and obtain clean driving record. Be able to lift up to 50 lbs. Once hired, worker may be required to take a random drug test at no cost to the worker. Testing positive for an illegal/controlled substance or failure to comply may result in immediate termination from employment.
