Job description
WILL TRAIN TO PREPARE AND COOK A VARIETY OF FOODS THAT REQUIRE ONLY A SHORT PREPARATION TIME; GENERALLY 10-15 MINUTES. REQUIRES THE USE OF SPATULAS, KNIVES, AND OTHER KITCHEN UTENSILS AS NEEDED. OTHER DAILY FOOD PREPARATION INCLUDES ASSEMBLING DAILY SPECIAL SANDWICHES, BAKING MUFFINS, DONUTS, AND OTHER PASTRIES, PREPARING AND PORTIONING FOODS. JOB DUTIES OTHER THAN COOKING INCLUDE: CLEANING THE WORK AREA, MAINTAINING UTENSILS AND COOKING EQUIPMENT, RESTOCKING AND MANAGING SUPPLIES INCLUDING INVENTORY MANAGEMENT AND ROTATION OF STOCK, DATING AND ROTATING PERISHABLES. FOOD PREPARATION EQUIPMENT AND SUPPLIES INCLUDE KNIVES, SPOONS, FORKS, CUTTING BOARDS, PEELERS, POTS, PANS, MICROWAVE. ADHERE TO FOOD SAFETY SANITATION STANDARDS AT ALL TIMES. CONTRIBUTE TO POSITIVE AND COLLABORATIVE KITCHEN WORK ENVIRONMENT. SHIFT REQUIRED TO WORK IS: 6AM-3PM AND DAYS OF WORK VARY PER WEEK TO ACCOMMODATE TIME OFF OF ALL STAFF MEMBERS. AT LEAST 36 HOURS PER WEEK, 4-5 DAYS PER WEEK, DAYS MAY VARY. OVERTIME MAY BE AVAILABLE.
