Job description
Ensure that the highest standards for customer service, food presentation, safety, and sanitation are maintained throughout the Food & Beverage outlets. Ensure that guests are given the food and beverage items according to their order and in a timely manner. Supervise team to ensure a clean, orderly, and attractive environment in their F&B Outlet. Drive guest satisfaction by consistently executing the Mission Point Resort standards (i.e., MPR CARES and departmental standards) and through hands-on interaction with staff and guests. Provide training and consistent coaching to outlet staff allowing them to learn and improve their skills. Review guest reservations at the beginning of each shift to ensure correct outlet setup and establish seating flow chart and assign server sections. Assist with monthly inventories and requisition supplies as needed. Ensure that all opening / closing checklists are completed and that the outlet is prepared for the next shift. Attend pre-shift meetings to update events, training standards, and any other information as needed. Follow server checkout procedures and account for cash drops / paperwork. Unlock or lock up outlet and outlet storage at opening or closing. As needed, greet and seat guests in the restaurant / outlet. Inform guests of specials and/or menu changes. Upsell food & beverage items using suggestive selling techniques. Prepare hot, cold, or mixed drinks for patrons. Take orders from guests and enter into POS system. Deliver food & beverages from kitchen and bar to guests in a timely manner. Monitor and observe guests’ dining experience. Respond promptly and courteously to guest requests. Present final bill to the guest. Assist staff during peak business periods / sick shifts / break periods.
May perform other job duties pursuant to 35-1012.00, First-Line Supervisors of Food Preparation and Serving Workers.
F.a.5a-F.a.6b: 35+ hours/week. 7+-hour shifts with 30-minute unpaid break each shift; shifts vary based on venue and may be any time between 5:30 am and 1:00 am. 5 days per week, Sun-Sat. May work evenings, weekends, holidays, as needed. Schedule (including workdays) may vary. May work more than the guaranteed hours. May work overtime. OT varies.
F.a.10a: Under the direction of the Food & Beverage Outlet Manager, will supervise 3 front-of-the-house F&B staffs.
F.b.8a: Workers will be paid no less than the wage listed. Employer may pay higher wage rates to workers based on seniority with employer and level of skill. Overtime hours may vary.
F.b.8a: Bonus available for full completion of agreed upon employment period.
Special Requirements
High school diploma / GED or foreign equivalent and 12 months of experience in food and beverage or related position in a resort setting required. On-the-job training will not be provided.
Must be available to work dates of employment and hours/shifts stated in job listing. Must be able to walk, stand, and move for extended periods of time. Must be able to lift, push, and pull carts and equipment weighing up to 50 pounds. Must be able to bend, kneel and reach. Must be able to speak and understand English.
