Job description
Job Duties: Greet and assist customers who enter the general store. Answer customers’ questions and help find the location of merchandise. Tabulate sales prices and total purchases due using calculator and/or cash register; receive payment by cash or credit card; open and close cash register, issue receipts, refunds and change due to customers. Bag/box purchased items such as novelty/souvenir t-shirts, hats, gifts, Christmas decorations, candy and fudge. Stock shelves, mark prices on items and shelves, arrange and display merchandise to promote sales. General cleaning duties.
Employer will offer a minimum 35 hours of work per week. Open 7 days a week. Workdays vary Sunday through Saturday. Shifts: 3pm-11pm, 9am-5pm, 12pm-8pm. Shifts may vary with business levels and events.
Special Requirements
No minimum education or experience required.
Must be able to work minimum 5-day workweek.
Must be able to work weekends and holidays.

If the worker completes 50 percent of the work contract period, the employer will arrange and pay directly for transportation and subsistence from the place of recruitment to the place of work. Upon completion of the work contract or where the worker is dismissed earlier, the employer will provide or pay for workers reasonable costs of return transportation and subsistence back home or to the place the worker originally departed to work, except where the worker will not return due to subsequent employment with another employer or where the employer has appropriately reported a workers voluntary abandonment of employment. The amount of transportation payment or reimbursement will be equal to the most economical and reasonable common carrier for the distances involved. Daily meals will be provided at a rate of at least $15.88 per day during travel to a maximum of $59.00 per day with receipts. If necessary, employer will reimburse worker within first pay period for approved cost of meals and lodging at the applicable exchange rate, not to exceed reasonable costs. Receipts must be submitted.
The employer will reimburse H-2B workers in the first workweek for all visa, visa processing, border crossing, and other related fees, including those mandated by the government (excluding passport fees).
The employer guarantees to offer work for hours equal to at least three-fourths of the workdays in each 12-week period of the total employment period.
