Job description
Clean and sanitize work areas, equipment, utensils, dishes, or silverware; carry food supplies, equipment, and utensils to and from storage and work areas; remove trash and clean kitchen garbage containers; store food in designated containers and storage areas to prevent spoilage; load dishes, glasses, and tableware into dishwashing machines; vacuum dining area and sweep and mop kitchen floor; assist cooks and kitchen staff with various tasks as needed and provide cooks with needed items; weigh or measure ingredients; follow standardized recipe procedures for portioning menu items; prepare a variety of foods, such as meats, vegetables, or desserts, according to customers' orders or supervisors' instructions, following approved procedures; mix ingredients for green salads, molded fruit salads, vegetable salads, and pasta salads; cut, slice or grind meat, poultry, and seafood to prepare for cooking; expedite food to waitstaff to serve to customers.
Special Requirements
The specific days and hours of work will vary depending on scheduling and the level of business. The employer is open 7 days per week. Employees will work 5 days per week. 3 shifts available: 8:00 am to 4:00 pm; 3:00 pm to 11:00 pm; Noon to 8:00 pm. Rotating days off but must be available to work all shifts. Approximately 40 hours per week with some overtime.
