Job description
This is a seasonal secondary agricultural position. The duties are only required during our agricultural
farm season, which runs from 2/15 -12/15. During the period of 12/16 – 2/14, this position is not
needed, due to weather, as this period is after harvest and before Spring planting. Employee will work
in and around the farm completing various seasonal, secondary agricultural administrative tasks,
which include, but may not be limited to, placing customer orders, planning, communicating with Farm
Manager, farm record keeping using computers, scanner, and printer. Accepting deliveries and
greeting customers and employees. Bookkeeping and entering inventory, light cleaning, organizing.
Operate office machines, such as photocopiers and scanners, facsimile machines, voice mail
systems, and personal computers. Related occupations Answer telephones, direct calls, and take
messages. Communicate with customers, employees, and other individuals to answer questions,
disseminate or explain information, take orders, and address complaints. Maintain and update filing,
inventory, mailing, and database systems, either manually or using a computer. Compile, copy, sort,
and file records of office activities, business transactions, and other activities.
Special Requirements
Minimum of 3 months of experience is required. Must be able to obtain a driver's license within 30 days of hire. Extensive sitting is required. Workers must have positive verifiable
experience relevant to the job and be capable of performing physically demanding tasks. Workers must be able to speak English. Employees must adhere to strict biosecurity,
company policies, and food safety guidelines, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations. Certain roles may require a valid drivers license within 30 days of hire and a
clean driving record for operating company vehicles. Exceptional performance may be rewarded with additional compensation or benefits at the employers discretion. Workers
must be responsible, follow instructions, and comply with attendance, punctuality, and work schedules, as repeated absenteeism, failure to meet job expectations, misconduct,
