Job description
Prepare and plate food according to chef’s and menu standards and specifications. Working from a daily prep list: prep vegetables and stocks/soups/sauces from scratch; portion meat and seafood/fish; Workers may be assigned specific places on the line such as pantry, sauté, cold or grill lines. Workers must use safe and sanitary food handling procedures. Stock and clean stations, and maintain refrigeration, freezer, and dry storage inventory. Wash dishes, utensils, silverware, glassware, flatware, pots, or pans, using dishwashers or by hand. Place clean dishes, utensils, or cooking equipment in storage areas. Assists in the setup cleanup of the restaurant.
Special Requirements
Requires six months of Cook experience. Must lift/carry 50 lbs., when necessary. Saturday and Sunday work required, when necessary. Shifts varying by day and workdays varying by week to include Saturday and Sunday. Must be available to work all shifts: 5:00AM-12:00PM; 2:00PM-10:00PM. Employer may offer more than the stated work hours depending on weather, business needs, and other conditions. Post-hire drug testing required of foreign and domestic workers upon suspicion of use.
