Job description
Cooks will be responsible for preparing, seasoning, cooking, plating, and garnishing dishes such as soups, meats, vegetables, desserts, and other food items in a restaurant, ensuring that orders are prepared in a timely fashion and according to high-quality standards and that nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards are met. Cooks will inspect and clean food preparation areas, pots and pans, work surfaces, and serving areas to ensure safe and sanitary food-handling practices. Cooks will also ensure food is stored and cooked at correct temperatures by regulating temperature of ovens, broilers, grills, and roasters, ensure freshness of food and ingredients by checking for quality, keeping track of old and new items, and rotating stock.
Schedule: 35 hours per week. Work schedule can vary and can include evening, weekend, and holiday hours. Work may be performed on any day of the week from Monday through Sunday. Example shifts: 8:00am - 3:00pm, 2:00pm - 9:00pm, or 3:00pm - 10:00pm. Shift hours may vary.

Special Requirements
The Petitioner will consider for employment any person who possesses at least six (6) months of culinary experience in a fine-dining or high-volume environment at a high-end restaurant, resort, or private club.
