Job description
Perform a variety of tasks associated with either line cook or dining room/catering services for fine dining establishment. Prepare/season and cook dishes such as soups, meats, vegetables, or dessert. Working from a daily prep list: prepare stocks/soups/sauces from scratch; portion meat and seafood/fish; read and prepare orders in timely manner working grill and sauté lines; Package food or supplies for takeout or catering events. Set up and stock stations with necessary supplies. Clean and sanitize work areas, equipment, utensils, dishes, or silverware. Perform food safety and sanitation procedures. Assist in removing trash from kitchen to proper outdoor receptacles. Assist with receiving food deliveries. Rotate products to ensure safe and fresh ingredients. Prepare tables/catering locations for meals, including setting up items such as linens, silverware, and glassware. Remove dishes and glasses from tables and take them to kitchen for cleaning. Clean tables, floor after patrons have finished dining.
Special Requirements
Rrequires six months of food line prep experience. Must lift/carry 50 lbs., when necessary. Work schedule is at least 5 days/week with shifts varying by day and work days varying by week to include Saturday. Employer may offer more than the stated work hours depending on weather, business needs, and other conditions.
