Kitchen Team Member (cook, Short Order)

Job description

Responsible for food preparation and general kitchen sanitation. Responsible for maintaining a clean cooking and working area, including but not limited to the "dishbay" when a scheduled dishwasher isn't on premises. Prep work for Full Bar Menu, catering menu, and special events. Plating of individual customer orders as well as buffet style and plated style meals for large groups. Must maintain company standards of food quality and presentation. Follow company rules, regulations & "Core" (Kindness, Communication, Hustle, Commitment, Care & Respect for One Another, and Ownership for All Efforts). Training course provided by Legends Bar & Grill for safety in the kitchen to ensure the highest level of sanitation and food handling. Team member will monitor inventory, receive incoming orders & rotate stock. Required to maintain personal hygiene in accordance with state regulations.

Food prep includes:
Clean and sanitize work areas, equipment, utensils, and dishes; Weigh or measure ingredients, such as meats and liquids; Prepare fruit and vegetables for cooking; Cut meats, poultry, and seafood and prepare them for cooking; Mix ingredients for salads.

General work schedule includes shifts (6-12 hours long), Monday - Sunday, 5:00 AM to midnight.
