Job description
Prepares, seasons and cooks’ soups, meats, vegetables, desserts and other miscellaneous food items for consumption. Prepares food in accordance with club recipes and standards. Operates kitchen equipment. Notifies Executive Chef or Sous Chef of unexpected shortages. Consistently uses safe and sanitary food handling practices. Ensures workstations and equipment are clean and sanitary. Clean up duties including cleaning kitchen and washing dishes, pots and pans and other items as necessary in the order for the kitchen to run efficiently and smoothly. Maintains communication with wait staff. Maintains security and safety in work area. Assist with setup and breakdown of action stations, buffet tables, and theme decorations.
Special Requirements
12-months of experience as a line cook or cook in a fine-dining or high-volume environment at a high-end restaurant, hotel, resort, or private club required. Must pass pre-employment drug test in accordance with company hiring policy. Must be able to read, write and communicate effectively.
