Job description

Preparing dishes and menu items following established procedures, inventory systems and processes to ensure compliance with food handling guidelines, including cutting chopping with knives or food processing equipment, prepare, season, and cook dishes such as soups, meats, sandwiches, vegetables or desserts; operate kitchen equipment such as ovens, grills, fryers, and dish machines; receive, label, and store food deliveries according to health and safety guidelines; maintain a neat and clean line and workstation, food storage, and dishwashing areas; assist with opening/closing duties, including setting up stations, washing, sanitizing and restocking dishes and all cooking materials; sorting and removing trash. Assist with front of house duties, including: greeting guests and providing professional, friendly service; operating point-of-sale (POS) system; accurately handling cash and credit card transactions; bussing, cleaning, and resetting dining tables; restocking utensils, condiments, and self-service areas; running food to tables and serving meals directly to guests when needed; responding to guest inquiries and resolve concerns with courtesy and efficiency.

Special Requirements

Current food handlers permit or the ability to obtain one within 30 days of hire.

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. unassisted, stand/walk for extended periods, and climb stairs throughout the shift.

Schedule: 35 hours per week. Monday through Sunday (schedule varies). Work schedule can include evening, weekend, and holiday hours. Shift examples: 6:00am 1:00pm, 11:00am 6:00pm, or 2:00pm 9:00pm (shift hours may vary).
