Job description

Workers will perform winter-season agricultural support tasks on a grain farm. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Equipment maintenance; Inspect, clean, and maintain farm machinery including tractors, planter, sprayers, combines, loaders; Perform general mechanical servicing, filters, oil lubrications, repairs; Grain storage preparation; Clean grain bins augers and surrounding storage; Remove old grain and residue; Facility upkeep; Clean and organize the farm shop and storage; Maintain farm infrastructure such as fences, gates; Field Preparation (weather permitting); Early application of fertilizers; Spreading manure on farm fields; Grounds maintenance; Clearing snow on farm property; Hauling grain to local feed yards; Remove sorghum hay bales from fields; Follow all farm safety protocols and use personal protective equipment (PPE). Must speak and understand English.
employer will abide by all of Colorado's agricultural laws to include Senate Bill 21-087 ("SB87") and any subsequent Overtime and Minimum Pay Standards Orders (COMPS order)
Effective 1/1/25, overtime must be paid after 48 hours worked per week, or 56 hours worked per week for up to 22 "peak weeks" for highly seasonal employers

Special Requirements

Be able to work in extreme conditions such as heat, humidity, wind, cold. Lift and carry supplies. Follow instructions. Once hired, worker may be required to take a random drug test at no cost to the worker. Testing positive or failure to comply may result in immediate termination from employment. Must be able to obtain appropriate drivers license within 30 days following hire and obtain clean driving record to be able to operate company vehicle. Lift up to 100 lbs.
