Job description

Feed and water livestock and monitor food and water supplies. Herd livestock to pastures for grazing or to scales, trucks, or other enclosures. Maintain heated watering system. Maintain equipment, machinery, buildings, pens, yards, and fences. Move equipment or livestock from one location to another on the farm. Clean stalls, pens, and equipment, using disinfectant solutions, brushes, shovels, water hoses, or pumps. Mix feed, additives, and medicines in prescribed portions. Operate snow removal equipment in order to operate feed wagons. Remove ice formed in water. Read ration sheets. Maintain growth, feeding, production, and cost records. Drive pick-up truck to town for cattle supplies on occasion. Operate manure truck. Operate feed truck, feed wagon, loader truck, pay-loader, skid steer, and box scraper.Farming with: Beef Cattle, Beef Cattle

Special Requirements

Minimum of 3 months of experience is required. Must be able to obtain a driver's license within 30 days of hire. Lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds. The worker will be exposed to extreme temperatures. Workers must have positive verifiable experience relevant to the job and be capable of performing physically demanding tasks. Workers must be able to speak English. Employees must adhere to strict biosecurity, company policies, and food safety guidelines, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations. Certain roles may require a valid drivers license within 30 days of hire and a clean driving record for operating company vehicles. Exceptional performance may be rewarded with additional compensation or benefits at the employers discretion. Workers must be responsible, follow instructions, and comply with attendance, punctuality, and work schedules, as repeated absenteeism, failure to meet job expectations, misconduct, insubordination, or violations of safety
