Nursery Worker

Job description

Duties may include: Plant trees or other plants, identify plants, pests, and weeds to determine the selection and application of pesticides and fertilizers, harvest plants or trees, and transplant or pot and label them, maintain agricultural equipment, operate irrigation systems, evaluate quality of plants or trees, maintain inventories of materials, equipment, or products. Operate farming equipment, package agricultural products for shipment or further processing, clean work areas, and maintain grounds and landscaping, sell agricultural products, provide information and advice to the public regarding the selection, purchase, and care of products & other related Nursery Worker activities as per SOC/OES 45-2092 (onetonline.org).

Possible weekend/holiday work.

Special Requirements

Must be 18 years of age. Worker has 3 days from date of hire to show proof of legal authorization to work in the United States. Drug/alcohol/tobacco free work zone. Static strength; exert max muscle force to lift, push, pull, unload, carry objects up to 100lbs (possible 2-person); may climb, walk, stand, reach, balance, sit, stoop, bend, squat, wash, clean: equip, grounds, area. All applicants must be able, willing and qualified to perform work described and must be available for the entire period specified. Possible background check post hire at employer's expense.Variable weather conditions may apply. Bonus potential based on work performance at the sole discretion of the employer.
