Job description

We need seasonal employees to assist with our crop production season for corn, wheat, sorghum, millet, and sunflowers. Employees will be required to perform all assigned duties related to growing these crops, including preparing fields for planting; attaching farm implements such as plows, discs, sprayers, or harvesters to tractors; operating tractors, planters, sprayers, seed drills, manure spreaders, combines, irrigation equipment, and other farm machinery; and engaging in planting, weeding, spraying, cultivating, and harvesting activities. Duties also include fertilizing and spraying crops; loading and unloading crops or materials manually or with conveyors, forklifts, transfer augers, or hand trucks; loading hoppers or containers to feed machines; adjusting and operating equipment controls; checking machinery for malfunctions; driving farm semi-trucks to haul crops and supplies; recording agricultural data; completing routine repairs and maintenance on equipment; maintaining and cleaning work areas, facilities, buildings, fences, and farm grounds; and hauling agricultural products to markets, storage, or delivery locations. The employer, at its sole discretion, may grant pay increases based on factors such as performance, longevity, and/or experience. Employer may also, at its sole discretion, offer performance-based incentive bonuses that are not guaranteed and are determined by the employer.

Special Requirements

Employer will conduct post-hire drug tests at no cost to the employee to enforce a drug free workplace policy. Failing a drug test will result in termination. Employer will conduct post-hire criminal background checks at no cost to the employee and will not employ anyone with a felony/theft criminal background as required by the workplace safety policy and company HR hiring practices as allowed by law. Job requires exposure to extreme outdoor temperatures. Must be able to lift 50 lbs, have a regular driver's license and 3 months verifiable experience.
