Job description
Four Leaf Farms, LLC is a family-owned farm in West Texas. Revenue streams include hay production (alfalfa, wheat, grass and other forage crops), custom swathing and baling, seasonal vegetables such as summer squash, winter squash, turnips, tomatoes, peppers, black eyed peas, sweet corn, other specialty crop varieties, and occasional cotton and corn used as crop rotation. Employees are needed to assist with our main crop production season. Main duties will be manually planting, cultivating fields and high-tunnels, and harvesting. Other required daily tasks include irrigation monitoring and maintenance, harvesting activities such as picking, washing, packing, sorting, and shipping, pruning, trellising, and weeding, and to complete all other general farm duties as assigned. Employee will need to be professional and friendly. The employer, at its sole discretion, may grant pay increases based on factors such as performance, longevity, and/or experience. Employer may also, at its sole discretion, offer performance-based incentive bonuses that are not guaranteed and are determined by the employer. Workers returning for a consecutive season will be paid at the previous season’s rate if that rate exceeds the current published rate.
Special Requirements
Job requires extensive sitting, repetitive movements, and exposure to extreme outdoor temperatures. Employer will conduct post-hire drug tests at no cost to the employee to enforce a drug free workplace policy. Failing a drug test will result in termination. Employer will conduct post-hire criminal background checks at no cost to the employee and will not employ anyone with a felony/theft criminal background as required by the workplace safety policy and company HR hiring practices as allowed by law. Must be able to lift 50 lbs. Job requires a regular driver's license.
