Job description
Take orders and serve food and beverages to guests; advise kitchen personnel of items ordered; present check to guest and clear table. Assists with opening/closing of restaurant/food and beverage area. Prepared side work such as rolling silverware, folding napkins, restocking condiments, set up food stations, or set up dining areas to prepare for the next shift or for large parties.
The employer will offer 40 hours of work per week. Open 7 days a week, 5-day work schedule varies Sunday through Saturday. Normal shift time 6am-2:30pm. Shift includes 30 minutes of unpaid break time. Workdays, hours, and shift times may vary depending on occupancy.
Tip position. Allowed tip credit applied per FLSA guidelines to meet offered wage. Employer will guarantee offered wage for hours worked when allowed tip credit does not make hourly wage equal or exceed the offered wage of $19.44 per hour. Employer may increase wage based on experience, market conditions, and/or provide additional pay for performance and tenure. One meal per shift provided at no charge to the worker.
Overtime may be available. An overtime premium will be paid when required by Federal, State, or local law, including at time-and-a-half after 40 hours per workweek. Generally, when overtime is available it will be paid at $29.16 per hour.
Special Requirements
Must be at least 18 years old.
Pre-employment criminal background check and drug test required, paid by employer and applied equally to all workers, U.S. and foreign/H-2B.
Must be able to lift 35 lbs. and push/pull equipment in excess of 75 lbs.
Must be able to walk and stand for long periods of time; must be able to reach, stoop, lift, bend and use stairs.
Must be able to work a 5-day varying schedule including weekends and holidays as required.
