Job description

Perform duties on a farm for a farmer like: Load and unload crops or containers of materials, manually or using
conveyors, handtrucks, forklifts, or transfer augers. Mix specified materials or chemicals, and dump solutions, powders,
or seeds into planter or sprayer machinery. Spray fertilizer or pesticide solutions to control insects, fungus and weed
growth, and diseases, using hand sprayers. Observe and listen to machinery operation to detect equipment
malfunctions. Manipulate controls to set, activate, and adjust mechanisms on machinery. Operate or tend equipment
used in agricultural production, such as tractors, combines, and irrigation equipment. Maintain farm machinery and
notify supervisors when machinery malfunctions. Attach farm implements such as plows, discs, sprayers, or harvesters
to tractors, using bolts and hand tools. Operate towed machines such as seed drills or manure spreaders to plant,
fertilize, dust, and spray crops. Drive trucks to haul crops, supplies, tools, or farm
workers. Till soil; plant and cultivate grain. Tow harvesting equipment. Drive and operate self-propelled combine. fuel
the plane by connecting and disconnecting fuel hose to and from the airplane. Mix chemicals - Read and understand a
load ticket. Load the plane with chemical by connecting and disconnecting load hose to and from plane. Load plane
with fertilizer by driving and operating loader truck as well as operate forklift. Clean all
equipment daily. Any tasks derived from a Standard Occupational Classification (SOC) other than the SOC designated
in this job order are strictly incidental in nature, performed only on an occasional basis, and constitute less than the
majority of the contractual period, and shall not be construed as reflective of the primary occupation for which
certification is sought.

Special Requirements

Minimum of 3 months of experience is required. Must be able to obtain a CDL within 30 days of hire. Lift and carry items weighing up to 60 pounds. The worker will be exposed to extreme temperatures. Extensive sitting is required. Extensive walking is required. Overtime and taking holiday is mandatory. Workers must have positive verifiable experience relevant to the job and be capable of performing physically demanding tasks. Workers must be able to speak English. Employees must adhere to strict biosecurity, company policies, and food safety guidelines, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations. Certain roles may require a valid drivers license within 30 days of hire and a clean driving record for operating company vehicles.
