Job description

Job Duties

Worker will operate farm-plated trucks and agricultural equipment to transport and apply manure generated by employer-owned dairy operation.

Duties include:
Operate farm-plated manure trucks between dairy facility and agricultural fields
Load and unload manure at designated sites
Assist with field application of manure using spreaders or related equipment
Operate tractors and other farm equipment as needed
Perform daily equipment inspections
Perform routine cleaning and basic maintenance of equipment
Follow employer safety procedures at all times
Work outdoors in varying weather conditions
Assist with general farm labor tasks as assigned

Requirements

Ability to work long hours during peak hauling season
Must follow safety policies and directions from supervisors

Work Environment

Outdoor agricultural setting
Exposure to dust, mud, odors, and varying temperatures
Work performed on uneven terrain and in field conditions

Special Requirements

Minimum of 2 months of experience is required. Must be able to obtain a driver's license within 30 days of hire. Lift and carry items weighing up to 60 pounds. Workers must have positive verifiable experience relevant to the job and be capable of performing physically demanding tasks. Workers must be able to speak English. Employees must adhere to strict biosecurity, company policies, and food safety guidelines, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations. Certain roles may require a valid drivers license within 30 days of hire and a clean driving record for operating company vehicles. Exceptional performance may be rewarded with additional compensation or benefits at the employers discretion. Workers must be responsible, follow instructions, and comply with attendance, punctuality, and work schedules, as repeated absenteeism, failure to meet job expectations, misconduct, insubordination, or violations of safety protocols may result in termination.
