Job description
Equipment Operation including using tractor and implements for moving heavy objects, unloading freight, road maintenance and construction projects. Spraying fence lines and around buildings with-herbicides using a UTV with a sprayer. Bush hogging pastures with a 15-foot batwing mower using a 100hp tractor. Administering herbicides and fertilizers on pastures using tractors with pull behind attachments. Job duties may include and are not limited to tasks such as: apply products such as fertilizers, pesticides, growth inhibitors, etc; attach/detach implements; be able to handle working in high humidity; clean work areas; load and unload materials and commodities; load inputs and drive trucks to transport to fields; maintain grounds and landscaping; mix materials, dump solutions or seeds into planter, spreader, sprayer type machinery; operate self propelled machinery; repair and maintain farm vehicles, implements, mechanical equipment, and enclosures; set up repair, maintain, and operate specialized equipment, use hand tools such as shovels, trowels, hoes, tampers, pruning hooks, shears, loppers, and knives; use hand tools such as wrenches, crow bars, air tools, electric tools; work in extreme temperatures. Equipment such as but not limited to the following will be used/operated by the workers in conjunction with the duties being performed: bins, silos, loading and unloading facilities, GPS guidance systems, mowers and other landscaping equipment, pickups, cars, etc, self-propelled machinery, sprayers, tillage equipment, tractors. Must speak and understand English.
Special Requirements
Three (3) months recent and verifiable experience required for the job duties listed. Must be able to obtain appropriate drivers license following hire and obtain clean driving record. Be able to lift up to 100 lbs. Once hired, worker may be required to take a drug test at no cost to the worker and be subject to the employers drug free and alcohol free workplace policy including testing protocols. Testing positive for an illegal/controlled substance or failure to comply may result in immediate termination from employment.
