Job description

Workers will perform duties primarily associated with Farmworkers and Laborers, Crop, Nursery, and Greenhouse (SOC 45-2092) and may perform duties associated with Agricultural Equipment Operators (SOC 45-2091).
This is a Skill Level I position requiring a minimum of two (2) months of verifiable experience in fruit orchard within the past twelve (12) months.
Work will be performed in fruit orchards and consists of manual and mechanized tasks related to crop production and pear harvest. Duties include pruning, thinning, training, and harvesting pears; hand-harvesting fruit using ladders and picking equipment; and handling fruit to prevent damage and maintain quality standards. Workers will sort and load harvested pears into bins or containers.
Workers will operate agricultural equipment, including tractors and implements, to cultivate, fertilize, and harvest crops. Duties include attaching, adjusting, and monitoring equipment. Workers may drive vehicles, including non-CDL trucks, to transport workers, supplies, and harvested crops.
Workers will assist with irrigation activities, including monitoring systems, recording irrigation times, and identifying the need for repairs or adjustments. Workers will assist in the inspection, servicing, and minor repair of equipment and must promptly report malfunctions or unsafe conditions to supervisors.
Workers must be able to lift and carry up to 60 pounds and perform prolonged standing, walking, bending, and climbing ladders.
Workers will receive training and guidance for all assigned duties, including harvesting techniques, equipment operation, and safety procedures.
All duties will be performed in accordance with employer policies, safety requirements, and applicable federal and state regulations.

Additional Wage Information:
The employer agrees that it will offer, advertise in its recruitment, and pay at least the Adverse Effect Wage Rate (AEWR), the prevailing hourly wage rate, the prevailing piece rate, the agreed-upon collective bargaining rate, or the Federal or State minimum wage rate, in effect at the time work is performed, whichever is highest. If the worker is paid by the hour, the employer must pay this rate for every hour or portion thereof worked during a pay period. If the offered wage(s) disclosed in this clearance order is/are based on commission, bonuses, or other incentives, the employer guarantees the wage paid on a weekly, semi-monthly, or monthly basis will equal or exceed the AEWR, prevailing hourly wage or piece rate, the legal Federal or State minimum wage, or any agreed-upon collective bargaining rate, whichever is highest.
