Job description

Duties may include: Perform various field work duties involved in the production of various plants/ produce. Plant, transplant, weed, thin, hoe, harvest, maintain, and other required tasks. Sort, wash, pack, prepare crops for storing and shipping. Transport, deliver crops from field to farm and/or retail stand. Transport, deliver crops for storing and shipping. Cut brush and other vegetation in and around fields, buildings, and equipment. May assemble wreaths with harvested materials. Operate, load, maintain, repair, unload trucks, tractors and other farm vehicles, implements and trailers. Operate, maintain, repair vegetable washing, grading, sorting equipment. Will set up, maintain, and operate varied irrigation equipment. 30-minute meal break. Crops include: mixed organic vegetables, fruits, and herbs. Must have two months of experience in farm work, such as, harvesting, planting, grading, and greenhouse production. Must be able to perform job duties to employer's satisfaction. Must be able to comply with instructions from supervisors. Must behave in a courteous, professional manner. Daily start/ end times will vary depending on crop and other conditions. Possible weekend/holiday work.

The employer may choose to pay experienced workers, regardless of origin, more than the published minimum wage rate.

Special Requirements

Must be 18 years of age. Worker has 3 days from date of hire to show proof of legal authorization to work in the United States. Drug/alcohol/tobacco free work zone. Static strength; exert max muscle force to lift, push, pull, unload, carry objects up to 50lbs; may climb, walk, stand, reach, balance, sit, stoop, bend, squat, wash, clean: equip, grounds, area. All applicants must be able, willing and qualified to perform work described and must be available for the entire period specified. Variable weather conditions may apply.
