Ag Equipment Operator

Job description

Drive and operate farm machinery to cultivate, harvest and store crops. Attach farm implements, such as plow, disc, and drill to tractor. Tow harvesting equipment. Operate or tend equipment used in agricultural production, such as tractors, combines, and irrigation equipment. Operate dump carts for harvesting crops. Drive trucks to haul crops, supplies, tools, or farm workers. Observe and listen to machinery operation to detect equipment malfunctions. Adjust, repair, and service farm machinery and notify supervisors when machinery malfunctions. Make sure equipment is clean and ready to use.

No CDL Required and no commercial truck driving required.

Farming with: Beans, Corn, Alfalfa, Sugar Beets.

Special Requirements

Minimum of 3 months of experience is required. Must be able to obtain a driver's license within 30 days of hire. Lift and carry items weighing up to 60 pounds. The worker will be exposed to extreme temperatures. Extensive sitting is required. Extensive walking is required. Frequent stooping is required. Repetitive movements is required. Workers must have positive verifiable experience relevant to the job and be capable of performing physically demanding tasks. Workers must be able to speak English. Employees must adhere to strict biosecurity, company policies, and food safety guidelines, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations. Certain roles may require a valid drivers license within 30 days of hire and a clean driving record for operating company vehicles. Exceptional performance may be rewarded with additional compensation or benefits at the employers discretion.
