Job description
At the direction of restaurant owner, a cook will prepare and cook a wide variety of menu items in a high-volume, fast-paced restaurant environment. Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes, portion guidelines, and presentation standards, perform daily food prep including chopping vegetables, preparing sauces, portioning meats. Organize food stations with all necessary supplies before service. Monitor food quality to ensure all dishes meet restaurant standards, maintain ticket times, and communicate effectively with kitchen staff to ensure smooth service. Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines, properly keeping and labeling food items while rotating food items to maintain freshness. Clean and sanitize workstations, equipment, and kitchen areas.
Special Requirements
This position requires speed, consistency, attention to detail, and the ability to work as part of a team to ensure guests receive high-quality meals in a timely manner. Required to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment, must be able to stand for extended periods and be able to lift up to 40 lbs. Work will be performed from Monday through Sunday from 10:00 AM to 10:00 PM, with Wednesday as the designate day off. Days and Times may vary based on business needs.
