Job description
Duties may include: Conduct various cattle ranching activities, such as: feeding of cattle, repairing water lines, operating a tractor, planting hay in spring, general ranch maintenance activities, caring for cattle in cow-calf operation, constructing and maintaining livestock buildings, animal veterinary care, horse back riding, herding of cattle in corrals, and pastures, roping cattle on horseback, basic ranch vehicle maintenance, basic ranch equipment maintenance, and maintenance structures. 1 hour meal break & other related Farmworker activities as per SOC/OES 45-2093 (onetonline.org).
Possible weekend/holiday work.
The employer may choose to pay experienced workers, regardless of origin, more than the published minimum wage rate.
Special Requirements
Must be 18 years of age. Worker has 3 days from date of hire to show proof of legal authorization to work in the United States. Drug/alcohol/tobacco free work zone. Static strength; exert max muscle force to lift, push, pull, unload, carry objects up to 75lbs (possible 2-person); may climb, walk, stand, reach, balance, sit, stoop, bend, squat, wash, clean: equip, grounds, area. All applicants must be able, willing and qualified to perform work described and must be available for the entire period specified. Variable weather conditions may apply. Bonus potential based on work performance at the sole discretion of the employer. Employees are expected to keep employer-provided vehicles clean and free of trash. Workers may not post or remove notices, signs, or other instructions from the employers bulletin boards or the employers property without specific authorization from the employer.
