The role of Captain is a lead-level Wait Staff position that supports Wait Staff, supervisors, and managers by assisting with Wait Staff-type tasks such as taking orders, serving food, taking reservations, and printing menus. In addition, Captains also assist with training and supervise the Wait Staff employees in absence of the Food & Beverage Supervisor and Food & Beverage Manager. The additional details about the Food & Beverage Supervisor’s responsibilities as they relate to supervising Captains are to supervise, train, and mentor team members, ensuring adherence to service standards, policies, and procedures; assisting with scheduling, timekeeping, and daily staff assignments to ensure proper coverage and efficiency; and helping conduct preshift meetings to communicate daily priorities, service expectations, and special events. Please note that Food & Beverage Supervisors do not have authority for conducting personnel actions including disciplinary action or hiring/firing, and instead it is the Food & Beverage Manager position that has this authority.

Food & Beverage Supervisor will be responsible for supervising food and beverage operations in both Greenside (casual dining restaurant) and the Sports Bar, supporting managers in those locations with daily service, ensuring high levels of member satisfaction and consistency. Will supervise restaurant operations in collaboration with the Food & Beverage Manager across multiple outlets, supporting managers with daily service to ensure high levels of member satisfaction and consistency. Supervise, train, and mentor team members, ensuring adherence to service standards, policies, and procedures. Will assist with scheduling, timekeeping, and daily staff assignments to ensure proper coverage and efficiency. Help conduct pre-shift meetings to communicate daily priorities, service expectations, and special events. Oversee Sunday brunch operations, ensuring seamless execution and exceptional member experience. Provide support in other dining outlets as needed to maintain consistent coverage and service quality. Will ensure all areas maintain cleanliness, safety, and service excellence standards at all times. Able to lift up to 40lbs and work under variable temperatures. May Supervise up to three (3) Captains and twenty (20) Wait Staff.

Schedule: 40 hours per week. Work schedule can vary and can include evening, weekend, and holiday hours. Work may be performed on any day of the week from Monday through Sunday. Example shifts: 6:00am to 2:00pm, 10:00am to 6:00pm, or 2:00pm to 10:00pm. Shift hours may vary.

Special Requirements

The Petitioner will consider for employment any person who possesses at least one (1) year of food & beverage experience in a fine-dining or high-volume environment at a high-end restaurant, resort, or private club.
