Job description
Maintain full knowledge of all menu items, beverage items, and wines. Prepare work area for opening, mid-shift, and/or closing duties. Prepare and serve beverages, including those that contain alcohol. Consistently check food orders for accuracy prior to delivering to the table. Follow posted side work during shifts and during non-busy hours. Understand food allergies and communicate when needed. Follow proper food handling procedures per Riverside County Food Handler Certification. Support a safe working environment at all times. Keep products well stocked and organized. Input all food and beverage orders into Jonas for member accounts to be charged. Report to work as scheduled, in uniform, clocked in, and ready to be in position. Follow Club policies and standard operating procedures. Communicate with F&B management to ensure member satisfaction. Greet all members formally by using their surname. Perform additional duties as assigned.
Special Requirements
Six months of fine-dining service experience in high-volume and full-service restaurant, resort, or private club. Current Riverside County Food Handler Card. General competency with point of sale system, Jonas experience preferred. Must be able to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Must be able to communicate effectively with members, guest and coworkers. Must be able to work flexible schedules including weekends and holidays. Must be able to remain on feet standing and walking for long periods of time, up to 8 hours. As well as sit, squat, reach, bend, stoop, and twist. Must be able to lift and carry 30lbs. Must be able to work outdoors, exposure to various weather conditions such as heat, cold, wind and rain. Must be able to demonstrate competency as developed in the training schedule. Must be outgoing, friendly, courteous and patient. Maintain a professional appearance and following uniform policies.
