Job description

Perform post construction / renovation building maintenance and cleaning duties following standard construction work or equipment installation at client worksites, (residential & commercial). Workers must perform a variety of tasks including any combination of the following: cleaning floors, washing walls, disposing of garbage, wiping down equipment, performing routine building maintenance and inspecting the premises. Entry level; requires supervision. The position of Building Cleaner involves a range of tasks associated with maintaining cleanliness and sanitation in commercial, residential, and post-construction environments. Post-construction cleaning : Removing dust, debris, and construction residue from surfaces, fixtures, and floors using industrial vacuums, wet wiping, and specialized cleaning agents. General cleaning and janitorial services : Sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and disinfecting floors; cleaning restrooms, kitchens, and common areas; emptying trash receptacles and replacing liners. Surface and fixture maintenance : Wet wiping windows, walls, doors, baseboards, and light fixtures to remove grime and maintain appearance. Dusting and polishing : Cleaning furniture, vents, and other surfaces to reduce allergens and maintain hygiene. Supply restocking and reporting : Replenishing soap, paper products, and other consumables; reporting any maintenance issues such as broken fixtures or leaks to supervisors. Light building upkeep : Assisting with basic tasks such as changing light bulbs, replacing air filters, and ensuring cleaning equipment is properly maintained.

Special Requirements

Must lift/carry 50 lbs., when necessary. Standard 1st shift 7:00AM-3:30PM M-F or 2nd shift 3:30 PM-12:00 AM M-F pending shift assignment. Workers may be required to work either shift pending business needs. Employer-paid drug testing required of foreign and domestic workers prior to commencing work and post-hire upon suspicion of use. Post-hire background check required of foreign and domestic workers. Employer may offer more than the stated work hours depending on weather, business needs, and other conditions. Extreme heat, cold, rain, or drought may affect exact working hours.
