Job description
Workers will: load and unload crops or containers of materials; load agricultural products for shipment; drive and control equipment to support agricultural activities; haul crops or supplies; operate or tend equipment used in agricultural production; observe and service farm equipment; document/record information related to the work; and any and all other tasks or activities within the scope of SOC Code 45-2091. Workers will only drive vehicles and equipment qualifying under the agricultural exemption; no CDL or English proficiency is required. Ability and licensure (at least a Class C license) to drive is required. Related duties may be assigned. Work is performed outdoors in highly varied weather conditions. Lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds is required. Walking, stooping, bending, crouching, and kneeling is required. Frequent turning, pushing, and pulling is required. Operating agricultural vehicles or equipment for substantial time periods (up to a full shift) is required. Dexterity to use and manipulate agricultural equipment is required. Vision, focus, and cognitive ability to accomplish the functions above is required. The crops the worker will load and unload are vegetable crops including lettuce, spinach, and onions.
Special Requirements
Workers must have 60 days verifiable experience performing the job duties under Section A(8)(a). Work schedules may be subject to change where weather, crops, or business needs demand. Work schedules, crew assignments, and assigned work tasks are ultimately at the sole discretion of the employer. For purposes of meeting the guarantee, workers will not be required to work more than the number of hours specified in this job order or on their Sabbath or Federal holidays. Workers must comply with the employers work rules and housing rules, which are set forth in full in this job order. Workers must comply with the employers personnel policies, including but not limited to its policies regarding safety, harassment/discrimination, abusive conduct, and drugs and alcohol. Workers must follow all reasonable and lawful instructions and directives. The employer reserves all management prerogatives not inconsistent with applicable law.
