Job description
Performs duties like: drive and operate farm machinery to plant, cultivate, harvest and store grain crops. Attach farm implements, such as plow, disc and drill to tractor. Till soil; plant and cultivate grain. Tow harvesting equipment. Drive and operate self-propelled combine. Drive and operate self propelled sprayer. Mix chemicals for spraying application. Must be willing to take chemical training through state education programs. Operate a rock picker attached to a tractor. Operate a tractor and grain cart. General lubrication, service (check fluids) and mechanical repair to farm machinery. General maintenance (oil changes, filter changes). Drive grain trucks to transport crops to elevator or storage area.

Special Requirements
Extensive pushing, pulling and sitting. Repetitive movements. Employer requires drug screen post-hire at employer's expense due to the liability of driving trucks on public roads. Employer requires criminal background check post-hire at employer's expense due to expensive tools and equipment and the presence of children on the farm. Failure to pass drug screen and/or criminal background check will result in termination of employment. Must be able to lift 60 lbs. Minimum of (3) months experience required. Must be able to obtain a driver's license within 30-90 days of hire. No minimum education required. Wage rate may increase with verifiable experience.
