Ag Equipment Operator

Job description

Performs duties like: drive and operate farm machinery to, plant, cultivate, and harvest crops. Attach farm implements, such as disk, planter, mower, and drill to tractor(s). Till soil; plant and harvest crops. Tow harvesting equipment. Drive and operate combine. Work in a packing house facility to load potatoes that are 100% grown by employer. Mix chemicals safely and properly to tender sprayer. Operate a self propelled sprayer or self propelled dry spreader. Operate pressure washer and center pivot irrigation. Drive grain semi-trucks to transport crops to elevator or storage area. Unload grain semi-trucks using augers and clean out storage bins. Operate grain dryer and grain tanks. Other assigned seasonal tasks.

Special Requirements

Must be able to lift 60 lbs. Minimum of (3) months experience required. Employer requires criminal background check post-hire at employer's expense due to the presence of children on the farm. Failure to pass criminal background check will result in termination of employment. Must be able to obtain a driver's license within 30-90 days of hire. High school diploma required. Wage rate may increase with verifiable experience. Employer may reward exceptional work with monetary or other benefits in addition to those listed here in his sole discretion.
