Job description

Prepare items as specified on menus in a restaurant environment. Follow standardized recipes and adhere to all safety and sanitation procedures. Determine proper cooking times, temperatures and methods. Execute operations of various kitchen stations including, but not limited to, appetizer, prep, broiler, garden manager, banquets, butcher, grill, expedite, breakfast and saut. Assist in preparation of foods on all stations with duties including, but not limited to, ensuring proper holding and rotating techniques for storage, taking necessary steps to avoid losing or wasting product, cutting/dicing/chopping/slicing and other prep work, as assigned. Properly execute assigned duties, as a member of the line staff, by working constantly and cohesively in a variety of cooking methods to assure timeliness, efficiency and product integrity. Maintain cleanliness and organization in all work areas. Exhibit attention to detail and ability to work in fast paced environment. Must be aware of multiple food allergens and be able to accurately handle/address these in the kitchen, in order to avoid injury to guests. This is a line level cook position in a restaurant/banquets kitchen so they will be responsible for executing on the existing menu utilizing various stations (saut, grill, fry, ect.). This position works with multiple chefs in their department (Chef de Parti, Sous Chef, and Chef de Cuisine). Shifts: 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM will work weekends, split and rotate shifts. Must have flexibility to work any days/hrs needed, including weekends & holidays. Please note: Under the anticipated days and hours of work per week, we provided an example of a work schedule. Our business is open 7 days a week so the days and hours worked will vary.

Special Requirements

Must have 1 year of culinary experience in upscale full-service dining room and/or restaurant kitchen, preferably in a resort setting. Must have experience working line positions, including grill and saut. Employer will conduct background check post offer of employment and pre-hire at employers expense.
