Job description
The role of the kitchen staff is to ensure that the kitchen is ready for production, fully stocked and prepares all food. Staff must ensure all meals are cooked consistently to our high standards. Other duties may include monitoring product qualities and food freshness to ensure minimal waste, perform daily duties such as opening and closing, cleaning and side work. Must work well in a fast-paced kitchen environment. Skills and qualifications: Team player, honest and dependable, strong critical thinking, and time management skills, organized and detail-oriented, independent worker and a problem solver. Experience: Commercial kitchen experience, fine dining, baking experience and customer service. Physical demand: Must be prepared to walk, sit, use hand and fingers to handle or feel objects and tools, reach with hands and arms, balance, talk and hear. Employee must lift and move up to 50 pounds. Must be able to see with close and far vision. Environment: This job operates in a kitchen. The role uses ovens, grills, knives, and mixers, among other restaurant equipment. Employee could be exposed to hot water, potentially slippery floors, garbage disposals and cleaning chemicals.
