Job description

[Duties]: Manually move freight/stock to and from production areas, loading docks, and delivery vehicles, loading and unloading product from trailers/containers. Use scanning equipment to locate product in distribution center and ensure accurate inventory of goods. Move materials within distribution center. Pick orders and prepare goods for shipment. Hand-manipulate product from primary location to cart or pallet/plate. Manipulate product in safe and efficient manner using proper handling procedures. Record numbers of units handled or moved, ensuring that orders filled are complete and correct. Ensure accuracy of load by verifying quantity with computer inquiry screens. Inform supervisor of needed backorders of product, scanning problems or product out of sequence. Inform supervisor of damaged goods. Perform trailer audit (verify trailer number, cleanliness, condition) prior to loading and inform supervisor of any deficiencies. Attend scheduled training sessions and assist with training of other employees. Participate in team meetings.

[Requirements]: Must be able to work weekends. Must be able to lift up to 150lbs (with assistance). Must be able to manipulate up to 300lbs (with assistance).

[Terms & Conditions of Employment]: Fulltime - at least 40 hours per week. Monday-Friday (5 days a week, may be required to work weekends), 4:00AM-2:00PM, 2:30PM-12:30AM (8 hours per day, hours may vary).

Paid weekly, wages calculated each workweek. Workers will be paid no less than $17.80 per hour. Workers with more experience may be paid higher wage rates (ranging from $17.80 to $18.25 per hour). Overtime will be paid at 1.5 times worker’s regular hourly pay ($26.70 to $27.38 per hour). Employer will make all deductions from the worker's paycheck as required by law.

On-the-job training provided. The employer will provide workers at no charge all tools, supplies, and equipment required to perform the job.

[Lodging, Daily Transport, Deductions, Benefits]: Optional employee housing available on a first-come, first-serve basis. First month is free, rent for optional subsequent months is $150/week (reasonable cost) deducted from paycheck.

Daily transportation to/from worksite provided at no cost by local companies.

Health, vision, and dental benefits available after 90 days of employment.

[Inbound/Outbound Transportation]: If the worker completes 50% of the work contract period, employer will reimburse the worker for transportation and subsistence from the place of recruitment to the place of work. Reimbursement will be included in first paycheck following 50% completion.

Upon completion of the work contract or where the worker is dismissed earlier, employer will provide or pay for worker's reasonable costs of return transportation and subsistence back home or to the place the worker originally departed to work, except where the worker will not return due to subsequent employment with another employer. The amount of transportation payment or reimbursement will be equal to the most economical and reasonable common carrier for the distances involved. Subsistence will be at least $13.17 per day of travel to a maximum of $55.00 per day with documentation of actual expenses. Employer will provide or pay the reasonable costs for lodging where lodging is necessary.

Employer will reimburse worker in the first workweek for all visa, visa processing, border crossing, and other related fees, including those mandated by the government, incurred by the worker.

[Three-fourths Guarantee]: The employer guarantees three-fourths of the total number of work hours of each 12-week period for beginning with the first workday after arrival of the worker or the advertised contractual first date of need, whichever is later, and ending on the expiration of the date specified in the work contract.
