Job description
Job Duties: Assist kitchen staff with daily operation. Clean, store & maintain supply of dishes & equipment. Maintain the sanitary condition of kitchen area. Clean, prepare & store various foods for cooking or serving; portion & expedite food. Dispose of refuse. Take order, serve/deliver food and beverage products to guests, present check to guest, clear table, collect and return dirty dishes to the kitchen for washing. Clean and organize eating, service, and kitchen areas; Prepare daily food items, and cook simple foods and beverages, such as sandwiches, salads, soups, pizza, or coffee, using proper safety precautions and sanitary measures; Monitor/order supplies, restock food items. Enters and locates work-related information using computers and/or point of sale systems. Stands, sits or walks for an extended period or for an entire work shift. Moves, lifts carries, pushes, pulls, and places objects weighing up to 25 lbs. without assistance.
Minimum 35 hours per week up to possible 40 hours per week. Open 7 days a week. Multiple 8-hour shifts from 10:00 am to 10:00 pm. Sample shift time 11:00 am – 7:00 pm. Hours and shifts may vary with occupancy.
Workers may work as both an Hourly and Tipped F&B Assistant depending on where they are scheduled to work that day. Workers may work as both an Hourly and Tipped position during the same workweek.
Hourly F&B Assistant: Basic wage rate $16.00/hr. Workers may work as both an Hourly and Tipped position during the same work week.
Tipped F&B Assistant: Basic wage rate: $15.00/hr. Workers may work as both an Hourly and Tipped position during the same work week. Tipped position. Allowed tip credit applied per Federal, State, or local law guidelines to meet offered wage. Employer will guarantee offered wage of $15.00. The cash wage paid will be $6.95. Employer will take a tip credit of $6.31, the tipped minimum wage will be paid and offset against tips received at $6.31. Employer will pay the difference and will not take a tip credit for any amount over $13.26. If in a given work week the worker's tips do not meet the hourly tip credit, the employer will compensate for the difference between what is earned and the hourly guaranteed base rate. All tips received by the tipped worker are retained by the worker. The tip credit will not apply unless the worker has been notified of the employer's intention to exercise the tip credit.
Tipped and Hourly F&B Assistant Overtime: An overtime premium will be paid when required by Federal, State, or local law, including at time-and-a half after 40 hours per workweek. Generally, when overtime is available it will be paid at 1.5 times the regular rate. The regular rate will be computed by adding together total earnings for the workweek from all sources, excluding tips received in excess of the tip credit, then dividing that number by the total hours worked in the workweek.
A single workweek will be used to compute wages due. Pay received bi-weekly. Guest Satisfaction Score Incentives may be available. Sign on bonus of $100+ may be offered upon start at participating sites.
Special Requirements
Pre-employment background check; post injury or incident and reasonable suspicion drug test required cost paid by employer and applied equally to all workers, US and foreign/H2B. All employees will be required to follow the companys current policy regarding masks, vaccines and testing that is in place at their time of hire.
