Job description
All cooks work together to ensure that the kitchen is ready for production, food is prepared according to recipes, the line is fully stocked, food has been rotated properly, kitchen is cleaned and sanitized. The cooks must ensure all meals are made consistently to our high standards. Other duties may include monitoring product qualities and food freshness to ensure minimal waste, performing daily duties such as opening, closing, cleaning and side work. Cooks must work as a team at each of our four different working stations grill, wing, expo, and prep, prepare menu items properly and consistently, be able to communicate in English with others, all the while working in a FAST-paced kitchen. Experience: Commercial kitchen experience, line cooking experience, food handling & safety knowledge. Persons must be able to prepare at a fast pace a variety of proteins on multiple pieces of equipment at our high-quality standards. Must be familiar with food items and must be able to read and follow a recipe. Must have knife skills. Must have an eye for detail and be able to finish menu items quickly and correctly in a clean manner. Skills and qualifications: Team player, honest and dependable, strong critical thinking, and time management skills, organized and detail-oriented, independent worker and a problem solver. Physical demand: Must be prepared to walk, sit, stand, use hands and fingers to handle objects and tools, reach with hands and arms, balance, talk, hear, read English and communicate clearly with others. Employees must lift and move up to 50 pounds. Must be able to see with close and far vision. Environment: This job operates in a commercial kitchen. The role uses ovens, grills, broilers, fryers, knives, and mixers, among other restaurant equipment. Employees could be exposed to hot water, potentially slippery floors, garbage disposals and cleaning chemicals.
