Retail Attendant

Job description

Greet and assist customers in the resort's upscale general market store/creamery. Workers will perform a variety of duties related to preparation, handling, serving and storage of ice cream and general store hotel products. Tasks include: utilize equipment such as a ice cream maker/freezer, dishware, silverware, and restock store shelves; receive/process cash, checks, credit and debit cards; make change; verify guest room numbers for room charges; prepare daily requisition for supplies and food items for production; assist with monthly inventory; maintain a clean work environment according to resort standards; use a telephone, cash register, and photo-copying machine. Perform other similar duties as assigned.

Employer will offer 35 hours of work per week. Resort is open 7 days a week, workdays will vary Sunday through Saturday. Shifts: 9:30 am – 4:30 pm, 4 pm – 8:30 pm (includes 30minute unpaid break). Workdays and shift times may vary with events and occupancy.

Special Requirements

No minimum education or experience required.
Must be able to work weekends and holidays.
Applicants must complete an employment application.
Employer will provide on-the-job training.
A single workweek will be used in computing wages due. Workers will be paid weekly.
The employer will reimburse H-2B workers in the first workweek for all visa, visa processing, border crossing, and other related fees, including those mandated by the government (excluding passport fees).
The employer will provide worker at no charge all tools, supplies, and equipment required to perform job. Uniform pieces provided at no cost to employee.
The employer guarantees to offer work for hours equal to at least three-fourths of the workdays in each 12-week period of the total employment period.
