Job description

Working side by side and training with culinary staff in professional procedures and techniques to make high quality pastries in accordance with authentic and traditional French methods; Preparing a wide variety of goods such as cakes, cookies, pies, bread etc. following French traditional and modern recipes;
Creating new and exciting desserts to renew our menus and engage the interest of customers; Decorating pastries using different icings, toppings etc. to ensure the presentation will be beautiful and exciting; Implementing and overseeing training plans and strategies specific to the tourists and holiday seasons, the products with high sales, and seasonal specific items;
Implementing and utilizing quality standards for ingredients, taste, texture, and presentation for all pastries and desserts;
Participating in and contributing to the development of pastries and desserts to compliment holiday menus;
Creating and executing signature desserts and pastries specific to the holiday season and to the summer season;
Administering standardized practices to estimate and determine consumption, the ordering of supplies and inventory maintenance for the coming periods of peak demand; Monitor stocks for baking ingredients such as flour, sugar etc. and make appropriate orders within budget; Check quality of material and condition of equipment and devices used for cooking; Maintain a lean and orderly cooking station and adhere to health and safety standards; Oversee a team of junior pastry cooks and other staff members as necessary;
