Job description
Perform all methods of cookery, portion control and garnish for all dishes in accordance with the standards set by the executive chef, maintain high standards of quality food preparation to ensure guest satisfaction, inspect and clean food preparation areas, such as equipment and work service or serving areas to ensure safe and sanitary food-handling practices; prepare, cook, and season food according to recipes; handle a wide range of raw fish and other ingredients, handle food prep activities such as boiling rice, cutting fruits and vegetables, preparing appetizers, sushi rolls, and salads. Ensure food is stored and cooked at the correct temperature by regulating temperature of ovens, broilers, grills and roasters; ensure freshness of food and ingredients by checking for quality, keeping track of old and new items and rotating.
Special Requirements
Must be available to work weekends, evenings, and holidays. Must be able to lift, push, pull and carry up to 50 lb. Must be able to work 36 hours per week. Schedule will vary weekly based on business needs from Monday to Sunday between 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m. Overtime possible.
