Job description

Perform duties on farms for a farm such as: drive and operate tillage, planting, cutting, merging, and harvesting
machines for a variety of crops including hay and grains for clients' farms. The tasks will include: attach implements,
drive and operate combines and choppers; load commodities into proper container; lubricate and maintain equipment
on daily basis; operate a baler; tow harvesting equipment; transport crops to storage areas; use GPS autosteer
system; haul hay on trailer; use forklift; use skid steer; apply fertilizer to crops; load grain trucks and wagons; record
information about crops and progress as needed; cleaning and repainting of equipment; and changing oil as needed.
Equipment:
Tractors with attachments ranging from tillers, planters, rollers, drills, cutters, tedder, mergers, blades for packing, and
wagons. Combines and choppers.
Crops: Alfalfa, Corn, Grain, Silage, Small Grain, Sorghum, Soy Beans, Winter Wheat

Special Requirements

Minimum of 3 months of experience is required. Must be able to obtain a drivers license within 30 days of hire. Employer requires drug screen
post-hire at employers expense due to the liability of driving trucks on public roads. Employer requires criminal background check post-hire at
employers expense due to the presence of children on the farm and expensive tools and equipment. Failure to pass drug screen and/or
criminal background check will result in termination of employment. Lift and carry items weighing up to 60 pounds. Extensive sitting is required.
Repetitive movements is required. Overtime and taking holiday is mandatory. Wage rate may increase with verifiable experience. Employer
may reward exceptional work with monetary or other benefits in addition to those listed here in his sole discretion.
