Job description
• Bake, grill, steam and boil meats, vegetables, fish, poultry, and other foods. Present, garnish and arrange final dishes. Occasionally serve food. Maintains a clean and sanitary workstation area including tables, shelves, grills, broilers, fryers, pasta cookers, sauté burners, convection oven, flat top range, and refrigeration equipment. Handle and store ingredients and food. Sanitize dishes and maintain cleanliness of grills, grill hoods, ovens, tilt kettles, and other kitchen appliances. Maintain food safety and sanitation standards. Clean and sanitize work areas, equipment and utensils. Cleans and sanitizes dishes and related service ware following established procedures. Execute opening and closing procedures. Set up workstations with required ingredients and equipment. Check the quality and freshness of ingredients. Monitor station inventory levels. Accommodate guests' special requests. Operate kitchen equipment such as broilers, ovens, grills and fryers. Ensure ingredients and final products are fresh. Follow recipes, including measuring, weighing, and mixing ingredients
• Min. 35hrs/wk., varied shifts i.e. 7a-2p & 3p-10p,
• Min starting wage is $16/hr. to $20/hr. OT $24/hr - $30/hr over 40hrs/wk.
• Monday through Sunday, scheduled shift work days vary.
• Pay bi-weekly.
• Employer will use a single workweek as its standard for computing wages due.
• Supplies, work tools & equipment are provided free.
• Optional shared housing subject to availability $175-$200/wk (utilities not included) & will be deducted from paycheck bi-weekly plus all deductions required by law.
• $400 housing deposit required and will be deducted at a rate of $50 bi-weekly until the total has been collected.
• Optional Daily transportation to/from work provided from optional employee housing @ cost of $2. per day & will be deducted from paycheck bi-weekly.
• Visa & related fees will be reimbursed during the first work week.
• Guaranteed work for total hrs equal to at least ¾ of the workdays in each 12-week period. If the worker completes 50% of the work contract period, employer will arrange and pay directly for transportation and daily subsistence (min $14/day and max $59/day). If the worker completes the employment period or is dismissed early employer will arrange and pay directly for return transportation and daily subsistence (min $14/day and max $59/day) upon departure.
