Job description

We need seasonal employees in the spring, summer, and fall seasons. Duties may include driving/operating a tender truck, delivering agronomy products to the certified spray and spreader operators, operating equipment in the farmers field, or delivering agronomy and seed products to the farmer’s operations. Other duties may include the need to operate transfer equipment, load agronomy and supply products in the equipment in route to or at the farmer’s operations, mixing and applying fertilizer and chemicals in accordance with standards. We expect employees to maintain a clean and professional appearance for yourself and your equipment. Employees must have current operational knowledge of tender trucks, knowledge of applicable OSHA, State, EPA, and DOT regulations and knowledge of SDS or the ability and desire to quickly learn them. Employees may be required to operate single or double axle trucks, large machinery, or automated machinery. Employer may pay performance-based incentives at the end of the contract period and specific duties may qualify for additional incentives.

Special Requirements

Employees must be able obtain a CDL class A license in the first 90 days. Must be able to climb heights of up to 100 feet, lift 50 pounds regularly and 100 pounds occasionally and work independently. Employees may be exposed to extreme hot and cold outside conditions, dusty conditions or extensive sitting or standing. Travel costs will be reimbursed in full upon arrival and rate of pay may be reduced to the federal minimum wage until travel costs are recouped for repayment. Employer will conduct post-hire criminal background checks at no cost to the employee and will not employ anyone with a felony/theft criminal background as required by the workplace safety policy and company HR hiring practices as allowed by law. Drug and/or alcohol testing is conducted, at no cost to the employee, to enforce a drug free workplace policy and to meet DOT requirements.
