Job description
We farm 5,000 acres of corn, soybeans, wheat, hay and straw. Employees will assist with all aspects of planting row crops in the spring, early summer, and working soil. Employees will bail hay and straw in the summer, harvest and haul grain, and operate tractors with farm implements. Employees will assist with all aspects of growing these crops, and complete general farm duties as assigned. Employees will need to complete routine repairs and maintenance on equipment.
We also have a seasonal cow/calf operation, which consists of Spring through Fall. We do not have any calves during the winter months and no assistance with livestock is needed during that time. The calves come in the spring, we feed though the summer, and load to sell in the fall. Employees will need to be involved in calving preparation and health checks during young stages as well as maintenance, feeding and health activities as they progress in age. Employees will need to assist with daily feeding, health checks and processing of calves. Employees will assist with haying and moving of feed. Employer may provide pay increases for performance and experience at employer’s discretion. Employer may provide performance bonuses at the end of the contract at the employer’s discretion.

Special Requirements
Job requires exposure to extreme outdoor temperatures. Employer will conduct post-hire, random drug tests at no cost to the employee to enforce a drug free workplace policy. Failing a drug test will result in termination. Employer will conduct post-hire criminal background checks at no cost to the employee and will not employ anyone with a felony/theft criminal background as required by the workplace safety policy and company HR hiring practices as allowed by law. Must be able to lift 50 lbs. Job requires a regular drivers license and employee must be able to obtain a CDL or equivalent within 30 days of hire. Require 3 months experience.
