Job description

Create and present new ideas to the Executive Chef. Stock the kitchen with raw materials and ingredients on a daily basis. Master all basic cooking methods. Acquire ingredients daily for assigned station. Help and prepare food items as per standard recipe cards whilst maintaining portion control and minimizing waste. Maintain and clean equipment on a regular basis. Report any hazards, unsafe working conditions, or equipment which requires repair/ maintenance. Adhere to all Department of Health food & safety standards. Comply with company and department policies and procedures at all times. Maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen and storage areas at all times. Execution of recipes and ability to follow recipes and all house-made ingredients promptly and efficiently. All food should be plated and presented accordingly.

Special Requirements

Must work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holiday and a shift greater than eight (8) hours in length. Worker may be required to work breakfast, lunch or dinner shift. Must read, write, speak and understand English. Must be able to lift 40 lbs. Must meet the physical demands of the position including, but not limited to, working indoors and outdoors, Employer will assist in worker obtaining Riverside County Food Handlers Card, including assisting with the cost. standing, walking, and moving for periods of greater than four (4) hours, and lifting, carrying, bending, stooping, squatting, reaching, pushing and pulling. Background check will be performed at the expense of the employer.
