Job description
Basic maintenance and repair of carnival rides. Basic maintenance and repair of carnival rides: Inspect machines to determine causes of malfunctions and fix minor problems such as jammed or stuck parts. Test for safety. Under supervision, workers will help lead mechanics with the maintenance and repair of mechanical and electrical carnival rides such as the "teacups", "ferris wheel", "fun house" and kiddie rides. Under supervision, workers will help remove and install parts, and position vehicles, machinery, equipment, physical structures, and other objects for assembly or installation, using hand tools, power tools, and moving equipment. Hold or supply tools, parts, equipment, and supplies for other workers. Diagnose electrical problems and install and rewire electrical components. Observe equipment and machinery to verify efficient and safe operation. Prepare workstations for use by lead mechanics.
Special Requirements
Must be able to lift at least 50 lbs. Have manual dexterity. Be able to evaluate and problem-solve. Be available entire work contract. Post-employment, employer-paid drug test may be administered.
Work days: Typically Monday through Friday; days vary
Hours per week: 35
Work Schedule: 8:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m; schedule may vary
Pay Frequency: Weekly
