Job description

Duties may include: under direct supervision, perform groundskeeping / care for established residential or commercial properties: shovel snow from walkways, sidewalks, driveways, or parking lots and spread salt or sand in those areas - using snow-shovel, broom, or manual spreader. May drive twin-axle pickups to or around jobsites, use manual equipment such as a push snow-blower. If there are extreme instances or substantial snow, workers may need to perform snow removal (UNDER DIRECT SUPERVISION) using either: a pickup with a plow or spreader attached (twin-axle vehicle) OR a small, entry-level, sub-compact tractor (“bobcat”) with plow, snowblower, or spreader attachment attached & other related Snow Shoveler activities as per SOC/OES 37-3011 (onetonline.org).

Possible weekend/holiday work.

Overtime possible, but not required or guaranteed. At Employer’s sole discretion: possible raises and/or bonuses based on individual factors such as work performance or skill (not guaranteed). Optional, shared furnished housing available to the worker (including: utilities) at a monthly housing rate up to $400.00; if optional housing is agreed upon by the worker, housing rate of up to $100.00 is to be paid directly to the landlord each week.

Special Requirements

Must be 18 due to equipment use. Must show proof of legal authorization to work in the United States. Drug/alcohol/tobacco free work zone. Perform physical activities such as: lift, balance, walk, stoop, handle, position, move, manipulate materials use static strength to exert max muscle force to lift, push, pull, carry objects up to 100lbs (possible 2-person). All applicants must be able, willing and qualified to perform work described and must be available for the entire period specified and work throughout all areas of intended employment. Based on Employer's discretion/cost: Worker may have random drug/alcohol testing during employment: positive test/refusal to abide = dismissal. Work is performed outdoors, exposed to weather; must be capable of doing physically strenuous labor for long hours, occasionally in extreme heat or cold. Variable weather conditions apply; hours may fluctuate (+/-), possible downtime and/or overtime.
